Closings & Delays

How we handle weather and other closings, so your family always knows what to expect.

When school is in session

When the Acton Public School system is in session, we follow their instructions regarding closures, which appear on local television stations. If the Acton-Boxborough Regional School District is closed, we will be closed. If there are delays, we will be delayed from 7:30 a.m. by the same amount of time.

Please check for school closings on WHDH Channel 7 or the WHDH website. Both will have up-to-date information.

During school vacations

If there is a snow storm or other severe weather during Acton-Boxborough Public Schools vacations (December, February, or April), Blossom Station will be closed if the Governor declares a State of Emergency, and/or if the Director decides that conditions are unsafe for families and staff. During vacation weeks, a closing may not be listed on television.

Early closings

Should school already be in session and Blossom Station decides to close early, parents will be notified by email, or in person at drop-off, so you can pick up your children accordingly.
