Why Acton families choose Blossom Station for infant care
Leaving your baby for the first time is a big moment. For more than 25 years, Blossom Station has helped Acton-area families take that step with confidence. We keep communication constant through daily written reports and an open-door policy that welcomes you to call, visit, and stay close throughout the day.
Our teachers are trained early childhood professionals who understand that infants learn through relationships, routine, and gentle sensory experiences. Every day is shaped around your child, not a rigid timetable.
Because we are a small, family-owned center, the same familiar caregivers greet your baby each morning, learn their cues, and celebrate every roll, crawl, and first step with you. You will always know exactly who is caring for your child, and you can call or stop in whenever you like.
What is included
- Open 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, year round
- A smooth pathway into our toddler program when your child is ready
- Gentle enrichment and music woven into the day
- A safe, secure facility right on Main Street in Acton
A day in our infant room
There is no one-size-fits-all timetable in the infant room. We start from the schedule your baby already keeps at home and follow it through the day, so feedings, naps, and quiet play happen when your baby needs them. Between those rhythms, babies enjoy floor time to roll, reach, crawl, and cruise, along with gentle sensory play, songs, and stories with caregivers who know their cues.
Feeding and naps that match home
Each baby has an individual feeding and nap plan built with you before the first day and adjusted as your baby grows. Tell us how your baby likes to be fed, settled, and soothed, and we will carry those routines through the day so the move from home to school feels familiar.
Daily reports and an open door
Every day you receive a written daily report so you know how your baby ate, slept, and played. You never have to wait for pickup to check in: our open-door policy means you are welcome to call or stop by whenever you like.
Licensed care and Massachusetts ratios
Blossom Station is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Massachusetts requires at least one teacher for every three infants, with no more than seven babies in a group, the most attentive ratio of any age group. We are happy to walk you through how our infant room is staffed when you visit.
Growing into the toddler room
When your child is ready, they move up into our toddler program, and our teachers help each child make a smooth, easy transition into the new classroom. Wondering when that happens? Our guide to daycare vs. preschool explains how Massachusetts groups children by age, including which room fits a 1-year-old.
